This is a very nice-looking piece of furniture. Our son has slept in it since he was an infant; he is now 4 years old and still loves it. We are moving and can't take it with us. The box spring is an adjustable height, and it easily converts from a fully enclosed crib to a bed with a small opening. A toddler can easily get out of bed but won't be able to roll out.
