This guitar is not to be confused with cheaper models which may look similar but are usually made from cheap materials and whilst OK to learn with, can never sound the same as a guitar built using the finest woods to a demanding quality control. Alvarez guitars are designed by master Japanese craftsman Yairi and built under his supervision to exacting standards . This model has a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides, the nut is made from carbon fibre and the bridge saddle id made from hand-worked buffalo horn. One common reason for beginners to lose interest in learning the guitar is the difficulty of pressing down the strings onto the frets. This is because the height above the neck of the strings means the beginner has to press very hard to make a chord. After a while the discomfort this causes leads them yo give up. This guitar, like most high grade guitars has had the string height lowered, requiring much less pressure and causing no discomfort to the finger tips. This instrument has been lovingly cared for and is in superb condition and comes with a padded bag.
