BURGESS BBS-20 THREE WHEEL BANDSAW BURGESS BANDSAW Burgess Power Tools Ltd, Model BBS-20 This bench-top bandsaw was made by Burgess and is a model BBS-20. I understand that it was probably made in the 1970s. Although I have owned it for many years (and replaced the blade some time ago), it has had very little use whilst with me. Unlike modern power tools, this one is built like a tank! It is in working order except for the tiltable cutting table (which facilitates angle cuts). This was already damaged when I acquired the unit – see the final photo. Although some measure of adjustment is still probably possible, I have always simply used it for ‘square’ cuts and have never been inconvenienced by this aspect. It may be repairable by an enterprising person. By coincidence, eBay currently has an ad for a replacement table for this machine for £10! This machine has been stored inside throughout its time with me. Approx. size/weight: Height: 57cms Width: 58cms Weight: 14Kg (unpacked). Collection would be preferred, but I would be willing to package it (without charge), if you wished to arrange your own courier. I found the following information on the internet (so cannot vouch for it): Blade and Belt The drive belt for this bandsaw is a 210XL037 - a standard size available from suppliers of power transmission components. The blade for this machine is 56.5 inches in length (1435mm) and can be either 1/4 or 3/8 inch wide. The blade must be the thin type designed for 'hobby' machines due to the small wheel diameter and the slot size in the blade guides.
