Truly lovely candle bird cage bought at RHS Wisley last year.

This item is a really lovely tea-light holder in the shape of an old fashioned bird cage. It takes 7 tea lights (I have some battery ones in it, but you can use real ones). Each tea-light sits in a glass cup, which in turn sits in a metal ring, which is hinged onto the side of the cage. This hinge allows you to remove or place tea-lights from or into the lower levels safely, by removing the glass cups and raising the hinged ring into a vertical position, giving more room for your forearm and hand. There is a pretty and old fashioned pattern in the metalwork around the base and top. The domed top of the bird cage is also hinged and folds back on itself to access the candles. This domed lid is fastened in place with a metal catch, shown in one of the photographs. At the top of the dome is a hanging loop. Underneath are 3 round feet. Overall height if you include the hanging loop up straight, is approx. 26". The approx. overall width is 10.25" It's obviously quite a large item, if you imagine these measurements.
