VINTAGE 286 DESKTOP ZENITH DATA SYSTEMS EIA-416 PC COMPUTER MODEL ICV-2325-EE Dating from either the late 1980s or early 1990s (it was safety tested in late 1993!), this PC was formerly owned by a college. From the Siemens SAB 80286-n & ZyMOS POACH 1 & 8 chips on the motherboard, I believe that this is an AT 286. It is fitted with a 21.4Mb Conner CP-3024 IDE 3.5” hard disk (these are now very rare and one is currently advertised on eBay for £132 ALONE!) I understand that this model of hard disk was noted for its capacity to cope with rough handling (ideal for a college!). The 6 No. memory slots are fully populated (640k in total). It also has a 3½“ floppy disk drive. It has a Backplane Board on which, in turn, is mounted both a Heath 150-307-3 Dual VGA/EGA 8-bit ISA Video graphics card and also a Microsoft InPort (Mouse) card (the latter two were removed for the photographs and are shown separately). I believe that the graphics card will also support CGA, (although I have only used a VGA monitor with it) – I saw one on eBay a couple of days ago for $70 ALONE! Dip Switch settings for the graphics card are available on the web (and I can also supply them). The case is lockable (but is currently in the unlocked condition) – no key, cables, keyboard or monitor, etc are included - ONLY the base unit shown in the photographs. This PC weighs approximately 7 Kg (unpacked). NOTE: After having been in storage (warm & dry) in my possession for many years, I have just re-tested this PC and it appears to still be in full working order, with the possible/probable exception of the lithium CMOS battery (a Tadiran TL5242/A @ 3.6v – equivalents are also available).
