American Whirlpool side by side Fridge Freezer

I have an American Whirlpool fridge/freezer (side by side) - definitely a few years old!. Bought it a few years ago, worked beautifully for a long while. However, about 7-8 months ago it has been doing a constant clicking noise (got used to the sound) and the freezer part has been working perfectly since, but the fridge side seems to be a lot colder and in some parts nearly freezes some stuff left in there. I asked about repairing it, but the cost of doing so horrendous. Bought another fridge freezer (I have three now - don't ask). This one still works and could do forever, or maybe not.
