All the details

I've just dug out roots of 2 Autumn flowering plants too vigorous for my small garden. I think they are a) Michaelmas daisy, mauve, single, max 1/2 m tall, columnar rather than bushy. b) Rudbeckia laciniata , rhizomatous perennial that bears yellow daisy-shaped flowerheads in late summer. With central green discs and drooping yellow petals they are held on tall wiry stems above deeply-divided foliage. I can't be certain of the variety as they were among a lot of other roots/plants but definitely not weeds. Will keep in water, come and help self if you want to give them a go. They spread by root.
