All the details

I'm trying to renovate a 1957 Boxford metalwork lathe. It appears I have most of the bits but I'd like some kind of manual to help identify what's missing and what's in need of repair. And to assist with the reassembly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I suspect your looking for someone to help you in person from the way you've written your request. I'm afraid I am far away and can't help in that way, but, having last year bought a lathe myself, I know there is a website that details many old lathes and often has manuals for them. That was the plan with which I set about trying to help, and of course, in the best Internet tradition, I don't see that website returned in the google search now I want it. But what I did see is this link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxford_Lathe and searching Google with an image search got me many exploded parts pictures for Boxford Lathes, which may help you. I wouldn't know which is right for you not knowing which model is your lathe. https://www.google.com/search?client=browser-ubuntu&sa=G&channel=fe&sxsrf=AJOqlzWNuTnad-5QedgTwJJuQ_Tzn-v1Og:1674762098952&q=Boxford+lathe+parts+diagram&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&vet=1#imgrc=i48jx9mS7nSerM I hope having a response leaves you feeling less 'out there on your own'. I really don't have much experience with Lathes myself, just wanted to help where I could. Kind regards and best of luck Alex

@alex7890_0 I can't seem to get the freelywheely email to send to you so I've posted a reply here. Thank you very much for your kind message, the links and suggestions. I’ve ordered the comprehensive data pack from lathes.co.uk I’ve also joined the Boxfordlathe-usergroup.io so hopefully I’ll be able to get some assistance if I hit a brick wall. Soppy facebook sent me round and round and round and round in circles so unfortunately the former yahoo group is now out of bounds for me. I wasn't looking for hands on help as I suspect this will take a while and I couldn't inflict that on anyone ... except my long suffering wife who is happy for me to have ago at it! Thanks again for your suggestions and I wish you well with your lathe endeavours. All the best, Phil.
