Gave in and got newer iPad for Xmas - happy if a good home wants the 'old' one. Perfectly serviceable - iPad Air 2, screen approx 9.5 in, 128 GB memory, wi fi and sim ready, camera, touch ID etc - spec here - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/112017 . Works on most every app and website. But - caveats - Apple stopped updating software at IOS 15; no huge problem (yet) but won't do a few slightly esoteric things (like streaming sports live on Netflix, some video content embedded in web pages), no charger (easily bought); there is a cover if you want it but it is very worn - replacements easily available. Obviously content wiped clean so needs setting up (so wifi or sim required).
