Large flat screen tv - 48'' I think

This item has developed a line going from top to bottom and and inch wide. It's fuzz but the rest of the screen works. Son had a replacement already bought so no need for us to repair but thought an amature electrician might fix this for someone who needs it. No time wasters and no one trying to make a buck off it!
