Lilac wood for carving

I was cutting up the lilac tree when I saw the potential - googled it and apparently it is one of the densest woods in Europe and pictures indicate beautiful colouring. Any wood carvers interested in whittling some spoons or butter knives? Several chunks of branch (diameter up to 4/5 inches) Otherwise will have to go to tip or somebody's wood burner.
