I have one of these : Onaroo OK to Wake Nightlight and Sleep Trainer Clock https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002RNKOM2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_FPWIzb1Y450BY I bought it 5 years ago (according to Amazon) to use in our campervan as a battery operated alternative to the Gro-clock. It works fine (just tested it) although it wouldn't work with rechargeable batteries in - only "proper" ones.
