This is the electric Temperpedic twin bed base (like a box springs without the mattress). My elderly mother used it and I took the mattress for her to use at the care facility she is now in. The base electric part raises the head and the knee. It needs a memory foam twin mattress to use the electric base. You wouldn't need to buy the very expensive Temperpedic brand mattress. It Has to go/be picked up by Monday June 6th., end of the day!
