Vintage Rockin Thunder kids electric guitar NOT WORKING

I bought this for my son in the 90's and it was working up until a couple of years ago for my grandson. Unfortunately I forgot to take the batteries out and I think they leaked and ruined the connections. I am wondering if anyone out there would like it to see if they can take it apart to make it work again. It needs 6 x C batteries.
